Rachel Constantine works in the classical realist tradition, exploring light as a subject and seeking qualities of repose, balance and visual harmony in her compositions. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Rachel holds a certificate in painting from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Linda Lee Alter Award for excellence in Figure Painting, the Franklin C. Watkins Memorial Grant, and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Art's Merit Scholarship.
